Constantly disconnects from YoLink hub. This is my 2nd unit and they both intermittently disconnect from the Yolink Hub. This type is the only one that does this. All my other YoLink thermometers work flawlessly. This model just doesn't cut it. I use it to monitor the temperature of my livestock water tanks and was trying to use HomeAssistant to turn on the tank heater when the temperature dropped in the tank but this thermometer is so unreliable that I had to use a timer instead.

In this age of cheap Chinese garbage, �鶹�� junk listings, fly-by-night companies, and generally low quality products, it was a REAL TREAT to come across this company and its products. In fact, this product exceeded my expectations by so much that I was half-expecting something terrible to happen, like it bursting on fire or something similar.

Firstly, every one of the products I bought, (shut-off valve, hub, 3 water leak sensors, 2 outdoor temp sensors for freezers, and 2 indoor temp sensors for environmental control), are SOLIDLY MADE. You can feel it in your hand, and it's a feeling that's getting rarer and rarer these days for consumer goods. They're well-made and just SOLID, with absolutely nothing feeling cheap at all.

All of the devices went into my freezers, attic, and garage without issue.

When I got to the software, that's where I really expected there to be problems, since many of these "smart" companies aren't very smart at all, and they don't seem to test their apps for user-friendliness before releasing them. However I was amazed at how simple it all really was. Getting the hub online, adding devices to it, creating rooms, configuring alarms, etc, all of it was quick and absolutely painless. The only real quibble I could have, (and it isn't much of one at all), is that the alarm section took a moment to figure out. But within a ridiculously short time I had all the devices added and their operating parameters set. Perhaps another helpful note - when you turn on a device for the first time, give it a full minute to link up to the hub. If you don't, the device will add to the hub but it will show as offline, and won't appear to ever come online. After doing that twice, (adding the device within a few seconds of turning it on), I then waited a few for the rest and they added without issue.

All of my testing, (temperatures turning on fans and heaters, water leaks activating the valve, etc), all passed with flying colors.

All in all, this just feels like money well spent, and YoLink has become one of my favorite companies. Highly recommend.

I purchased and installed this on a small anchor a mostly hidden feature wall on my in-ground swimming pool. The box sits above the water level, hanging about 8 inches above the top edge of the pool surround, with the wire hanging down into the water. It tracks the pool temperature on an hourly basis, allowing me to see how the pool's temperature is swinging throughout the days. With the amazing range of the YoLink LoRa communication protocol, this thing has NO problems remaining connected with the YoLink hub that's on the other end of the house, on the second floor, in a closet.

Beyond working great for tracking water temperature, this unit has proven quite durable and waterproof, surviving deluge level water, including the recent Hurrican Beryl, with no issues (and nicely tracked the roughly 10 deg. F drop in average water temperature brought about by the hurricane).

The only downside is the continued requirement that all YoLink devices must have an Internet connection. This sensor will store values when the Internet is unavailable, and then transmit them when the connection is restored, but it would be nice if YoLink would come out with a solution that allows fully local sensor tracking.

This thing is terrible. It works well, but changing the batteries is a nightmare. There’s these tiny little gaskets that cover the screws that hold the battery cover so that water can’t get in. Problem is, these little cylinder shaped seals are impossible to get out without damaging them over time with tweezers. I just tried opening mine to change the batteries and one of the screws are rusted and when trying to unscrew, it rounded off due to the rust. So it’s now useless to me. Can’t get the screw out so it’s permanently screwed closed. Terrible.

I’m totally blind. I received this sensor. To me, this feel the same as the outdoor temperature/humidity sensor. The mounting string and box is the same. Also the same is no easy way to get to the batteries to test/replace them.

The sensor box is square with a string coming out of the top of it with a plastic ring. The sensor cable is coming out of the bottom of the box. There is a button on the back of the box along with the QR code to scan to get YoLink App to allow it on the system.

What I like about this sensor is the fact the temperature probe is on a wire. This will work OK for me as far as I can put a small whole in the ducting system on my AC/Heat system to then let the probe dangle in the cold air return and a 2nd one for the ac/heat duct going to the house. This away I can tell what temp the air is going into the system and what is coming out. In testing, the sensor looks to be about 1F from my weather station when I placed the sensor beside it. It will work for what I want to use it for as far as temperature. Also plan on using one in the attic. Placing the box in the inside of the house and a small whole in a corner to run the probe up through. No mounting braket for the probe. So need to figure out how to attach the probe on a 2by4 on the backside of the skylight well.

I really don’t care for the fact I have to hang the sensor by a string! (REALLY)!

The next issue is I need to deal with what to be able to get to the batteries? I have to take the whole sensor down and pull the probe out of the ducts and do what to get to the batteries! Now that is a pain and not user friendly.

If you are going to be using this inside! This sensor will probably be OK. However I wouldn’t use this sensor outside do to the fact it only has a string to hang it by. They need to have a much better mounting system like the normal indoor temperature/humidity sensor has. They also need to come up with a better way so a person can easy get to and replace the batteries then what is currently being used.

Before I use these sensors! Need to get to the batteries so need to pull the stuff out covering the screws and leave that xxxx off. That away when I need to replace the batteries, it will be much easier and I may not need to pull the sensors all the way down and all that stuff. Deffently true for the one that I want to use for the attic.
